Our sister, Hanna Kebede, has invited all readers to come and gaze upon useful and uplifting messages for their souls. As a lover of poetry and wisdom, I feel truly blessed by her creations. This book, your debut but certainly not your last, stands as evidence of your passion and enthusiasm for the Kingdom of God.
Poetry, akin to hymns, is a form of literature that demands skill. Our sister Hanna has crafted God’s truth into delectable poetic morsels for us. With her God-given grace, she has been serving in Berea. When she preached the gospel to us through her poetry, she proclaimed, 'Medicine has been found.' Therefore, read these poems to discover solutions to your problems, take in the medicine, and find eternal rest.
Many people have unfortunately passed away before sharing the guidance and teachings to the next generation. However, our sister, Hanna Kebede, has conveyed the messages the Lord placed within her through "Behind the Curtain," this book of poetry. As it has Biblical underpinnings, and is a wonderful, educational, and profoundly important tool for guiding life, I encourage all of us to read the messages in this book and utilize them to navigate our lives here on earth. Finally, as I praise God, the One who makes us fruitful – I would like to say to Hanna Kebede, who took the time to write a book that is a blessing for many of us: be encouraged, keep going, and may the Lord bless you!
To begin with, I want to say "Congratulations!" to my sister and thank God for
helping her. We knew when Hanna first
shared her poetry with us that they were not the words of a novice. It was the grace
of God growing within her that made
a way for these poems to reach us. When we firmly told her that she was gifted, she
did not choose to do nothing.
Rather, working diligently, serving both as a teacher and a mentor, she humbly
offered this revelatory and immersive
poetry about important matters to us, for current and future generations to inherit.
Poet Hanna Kebede is truly
virtuous. She is a great student when she listens, a great teacher when she speaks;
a woman who does not seek to walk in
front of others out of pride, but instead strives to walk alongside everyone; a
woman for whom it is never too late to
act, and a woman who is wholly herself. I do not say these things to praise Hanna
excessively but because I have known
of her wonderful songs and poetic works for over ten years. I firmly believe that
the grace revealed in this collection,
with its beautiful beginning, will inspire and bring forth many profound works of
art for generations to
come. In Hanna’s poetry, readers will find love and hate, failure and triumph,
sadness and joy, and all aspects of life
represented and organized by category. Her poems encourage us to act from our
humanity. They reject evil and sing of
love and unity. They condemn hatred and division. They make no room for hopelessness
and despair. In her beautiful
verses, she encourages us to overcome despair with strength and persevere in solving
the mystery of life.
In her beautiful poems, she wrote:
“It is being made beautiful!
It is being prepared!
Just behind the Curtain”
I’ve loved it!
I wish you all an enjoyable reading.
